MySwissBioinfo is a non-profit, non-commercial platform dedicated to connecting researchers with qualified bioinformaticians, computational biologists, and data scientists throughout Switzerland.

This site is only a means to connect people. It is not a job board or freelance marketplace, and it is free and operated on a non-profit basis.

This platform is independent, not affiliated with any institution, and relies on the voluntary participation of bioinformatics professionals.

Community Charter

MySwissBioinfo operates on the principles of voluntary participation and shared responsibility. All members of our community agree to the following charter:

1. Voluntary Participation

All bioinformaticians and professionals listed on MySwissBioinfo are volunteers. Registration and participation in this community are entirely voluntary, and participants may withdraw at any time. No one is obligated to participate in any collaboration or project.

2. Information Responsibility

Each registered member is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of the information provided in their profile. This includes:

Professional qualifications and experience
Areas of expertise and competencies
Programming languages and technical skills
Contact information and availability
Any other biographical or professional information

MySwissBioinfo does not verify or validate member credentials. Members understand that they may be held accountable for misrepresenting their qualifications or experience.

3. Time Commitment & Availability

Members are fully responsible for managing their own time and availability. Each professional is expected to:

Only engage in collaborations they can realistically support given their personal and professional commitments
Communicate clearly and honestly about their availability and capacity
Notify collaborators of any changes to their availability or ability to participate
Maintain professional standards in all interactions and communications

Members understand that they bear the responsibility for any commitments they make and the consequences of not fulfilling those commitments.

4. Professional Ethics

All members are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. This includes:

Treating all parties with respect and courtesy
Being honest about capabilities and limitations
Respecting intellectual property and confidentiality agreements
Avoiding conflicts of interest and disclosing them when they arise

5. No Platform Liability

MySwissBioinfo is not responsible for:

The quality or outcome of collaborations between members
Disputes between members or parties
Breach of agreements or commitments made between members
Any losses or damages resulting from collaborations or interactions facilitated through the platform

7. Code of Conduct
